"Regrow cartilage" is one of the most-made promises in this category and one of the least-supported, and here are two orthopedic surgeons taking it seriously enough to answer it properly rather than dismiss it.

The question is asked in the title as a question — can we actually do it — which is already the right posture, and considerably more honest than most of the pages that answer it in a headline.

What to watch for

  • The difference between filling a defect, repairing tissue, and regrowing the original structure. Marketing collapses all three into one word.
  • How much of the honest answer depends on the size and location of the damage rather than on the technique.

Rather just ask someone?

Two questions and you will know whether this is a conversation worth having. If it is not, we would rather tell you that than take your details.
